About the Role

This position is primarily focused on the preparation and production of Colombian empanadas and tequeños. You’ll be responsible for preparing dough, fillings and ingredients, assembling products and ensuring everything is consistently prepared according to our recipes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- This is a hands-on production role where consistency, cleanliness and attention to detail are key.
- Ensure consistent size, shape, portion and quality of each product.
- Prepare products in batches according to daily production needs.
- Properly portion and organize prepared products for storage and service.
- Label, date and store ingredients and finished products correctly.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures and proper food storage practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary preparation area.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with additional food preparation tasks as needed.
- Communicate production needs and ingredient shortages to the kitchen team.

Requirements

  • Previous food preparation, food production or kitchen experience is preferred.

  • Experience making empanadas, tequeños or similar products is an asset.

  • Good hand skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately.

  • Ability to maintain consistency when producing food in batches.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

  • Comfortable performing repetitive hands-on food preparation tasks.

  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and cleanliness.

  • Availability Tuesday through Thursday, from approximately 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, with a valid SIN number.

  • FOODSAFE Level 1 is an asset.

  • Spanish language skills are a strong asset.
